The Lensbender

is a freelensing accessory designed to suspend your lens in front of your camera.

freelensing practises

- To attach the lens, place it in the centre of the bands making sure it is balanced and secured. It is best to choose a lens smaller than your camera's mount. M39 lenses and M42 lenses often produce best results

- Set your lens aperture to open

- the distance in between you camera body and lens will vary depending bran and make so try a few things our and see what works for you

- Use a Lenshield to keep the sensor protected from the elements

- hold the camera with one hand and the lens with the other. If you are experiencing too much flair, shield the sun from your sensor

- the lens towards the camera body for long depth of field and push for short dof. As you push the lens further away, you will notice the freelensing effect increase

- If you can't achieve infinity focus, try reducing your aperture. if that is still not enough, remove the Lenshield but be careful not to damage your sensor

- tilting the lens will allow you to select witch part of the image you would like to focus on. This is especially great for macro shots

Experiment and have some fun !
